PHOOD farm
Phood Farm is an aquaponic farm growing vegetables, herbs, sprouts and mushrooms in a sustainable, ecological way. I produced video content to document their work as part of the future of food and sustainability. This is a tutorial to support employees and volunteers in their work in the farm.
JOURNALISM LAB
This video is part of the research project 'From black box to glass box'. In recent years, more and more digital, automated and self-learning or so-called AI (artificial intelligence) tools have appeared on the market for the journalistic information-gathering process. We investigate how AI tools are used in the routines of journalists. This is an interview with Jerry Vermanen, data journalist at KRO-NCRV. He did a report about how political campaigns with lots of selfies are rewarded by the Instagram algorithm.
global youth video competition
I produced a film selected as a finalist on the Nature-based solutions for food and human health category on the UN’s 2019 Global Youth Video Competition. The film talks about the importance of discussing meat-based diets and their impact on climate change. It also has a focus on sustainability showing the routine of a vegan delivery called Cantina do Duds. They only use reusable packages and deliver just riding bikes, completing the entire sustainable cycle.

web series atualidades
As a senior producer at Curso Enem Gratuito, I started to produce journalist content on YouTube to leverage the knowledge of our students about their own sociopolitical reality. This series gave us the nomination for the category Best Educational Series in Rio Webfest in 2018 and 2019. Check out the episodes:
pesticides on Brazil: impacts on health and in the environment
In this episode of the web series Atualidades, we explain the consequences of pesticides's use and their impacts on health and the environment, in addition to raising alternatives to these pesticides could be implemented in Brazil. To help us in this mission, we spoke with the Agricultural Engineer and urban agriculture activist Marcos José de Abreu (Marquito).
the street situation in Brazil
Noticing his blanket marked with the sole of someone else's shoe, the man who used it to sleep now wakes up, ready for another day. Along with him, many others around Brazil and the world also raise. This episode of the web series Atualidades talks about these "invisible people". You will realize how diverse the profile of people living on the streets is and will recognize the violence to which they are susceptible daily.
drug war and legalization
The issue of drugs in Brazil (and in the world) is always a subject that raises discussions: a part of the population believes that it is better to ban, another part thinks that legalization would be an adequate solution. Do you have an opinion on the subject? Understand the emergence of the prohibitionist bias related to drugs, as is the scenario of trafficking within Brazil today (with the Drug Law 11.343 in force), what is the situation of the country's prison system, and analyze the drugs matter from the perspective of a doctor.
racism
Although we are all equal before the law, there are profound inequalities between members of Brazilian society and one of them is racial inequality. The history of our people was built with racism and cruel slavery as one of its pillars.
the crisis of the brazilian prison system
The Brazilian prison system is collapsing. The country has the third-largest prison population in the world. The overcrowding of prisons is a crucial factor in worsening the situation of abuse in Brazilian prisons.
LGBTfobia in Brazil
LGBTphobia is prejudice against people in the LGBT community. There are many violence directed to these people, who are constantly marginalized from society and have a series of rights violated. LGBT rights are part of the agenda of political debates and also discussions on social networks.
